Retrieve A Deleted Voice Mail

Voice messages are permanently removed after you exit the voice mail system.

Voice messages can be left by callers when you are unable to answer your mobile or landline phone. If you are used to quickly reviewing your voice messages and deleting or saving the messages, you may occasionally delete a message accidentally. Many voice mail services are not offering users a chance to retrieve those deleted messages. A deleted message cannot be retrieved once you hang up the phone. If you are still within the voice mail system reviewing messages, you can retrieve a voice mail message and return it to your in-box.

Instructions

1. Access your voice mail by dialing your phone number and pressing the "*" key during the greeting. Enter your password and listen to your messages.

2. Retrieve a voice mail that was deleted while reviewing your messages by pressing the "*" key to access the voice mail system's main menu. Depending on your voice mail system, you may need to press the "0" or "#" key to access the main menu.

3. Press the key indicated by the voice mail system to listen to deleted messages.

4. Review the message and press the "9" or "6" key to mark the message as new and return it to your saved messages. Depending on your voice mail system, you may be instructed to select a different key.

5. Continue to review your deleted messages. After retrieving the messages you were looking for, hang up the phone to exit the voice mail system.
