Install Bluetooth On Your Pc

A USB dongle allows you to add Bluetooth to almost any PC.

Bluetooth is a popular short-range wireless protocol that allows electronic devices to communicate with each other. Bluetooth allows you to get rid of messy computer cables by wirelessly connecting to devices such as printers, keyboards and cameras. With a USB Bluetooth dongle, you can install Bluetooth capabilities into almost any PC computer.

Instructions

1. Connect the USB Bluetooth dongle to the computer via an available USB port. Generally, there are various USB ports on the front and back of the computer. Insert the driver's disc that came with the device into your computer and install all necessary drivers. Remove the disc when the installation is complete and restart the computer, if necessary.

2. Ensure that the Bluetooth-enabled device that you wish to connect to your PC is powered on. Place the device in pairing mode by holding the designated "Pairing" button. Refer to your device's user's manual, as the location of this button varies depending on the device.

3. Click on the Windows icon at the lower left portion of your screen and navigate to the "Control Panel". Select the "Device and Printers" tab and double-click on the "Add a Device" option at the top of the screen. A list of discoverable Bluetooth devices will appear. Select the device that you intend to connect to and press "Select". Enter the device's passkey (by default 0-0-0-0) if prompted, and press "Connect".
