Using the Garmin Mobile XT software, it is possible to add navigation capabilities to a smartphone, such as the Nokia N95. Garmin's map products, called MapSource, display turn-by-turn directions on compatible devices. If you have purchased a MapSource product for use on the Nokia N95, it must be unlocked before use. MapSource products come with either an 8-character coupon code or a 25-character code for unlocking.
Instructions
Unlock Maps with a 25-Character Unlock Code
1. Insert the MapSource DVD in your computer, and click on "Utilities" when it loads.
2. Click "Manage Map Products," and click the "Unlock Regions" tab. Choose "Add."
3. Type in the 25-character code that is included on the DVD packaging or on a slip of paper inside the case.
Unlock Maps with an 8-Character Coupon Code
4. Insert the MapSource disc in the computer. When it loads, click "Utilities" and "Manage Map Products."
5. Choose the map you want to unlock for use on the N95, and click "Unlock Online." This takes you to an Unlock Maps Web page.
6. Install Garmin's Communicator Plugin, if you do not have it. You will be prompted to install the plugin, if MapSource does not detect it on your computer.
7. Use a USB cable or Garmin PC Interface cable to connect the N95 to the computer. Click "Find Devices" and select the N95.
8. Enter the serial number and 8-character coupon code that is located on the included Unlock Certificate, then click "Unlock Map."
