Secret codes for the Nokia 5200 are able to change sound quality, reveal call information and more.
Although most of your cell phone's settings and call details are readily available to you, it can often become a drag scrolling through multiple menus and lists just to find them, especially for those new to their Nokia 5200 cell phone, or simply those unfamiliar with the format of accessing these details.
Sound Quality
Codes are available that can enhance and degrade your cell's sound quality. The enhanced sound rate code can be activated by keying *3370# into your phone. This code can also be deactivated by keying in #3370#. If you would prefer to lessen your cell's sound quality, key in *4720#. The advantage of this code is that it enables you to gain up to 30 percent more talk time. It is useful if you are on a low battery.
Phone Details
You can also view your Nokia 5200's serial number, the date your cell was made, a purchase date (provided it's in the system) and the date of your most recent repair. This information can be accessed by keying *#92702689# into your phone. Your cell's security code can be accessed by keying in *#2640#. To check your phone's International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI number) you simply need to key *#06# into your cell. Furthermore, keying in #pw+1234567890+4# will enable you to find out about the SIM code lock or unlock status on your cell.
Calls
If you have recently received a call from a private number, you can access this number by keying *#30# into your phone. If you are receiving a bad signal you can also key *#62# into your cell, which will activate "Divert If Unreachable (no service)" calls. If you happen to have previously activated the call divert feature then keying in *#21# will enable you to check that number.
