Even cell phones may be infected with spyware and viruses from time to time. Your cell phone is in great danger if you happen to open email attachments or use the Internet. If your cell phone has a Java operating system, you may install a Java spyware removal tool on your phone. 1. Select the "MENU" from your cell phone. If you have a generic cell phone, you may have to press the "MENU" button. If you have a Smartphone or PDA, your selections should be available on the screen.
2. Navigate to your media folder. Locate the Netgin Mobile Antivirus software. Select it to launch it.
3. Press the "SCAN" button to allow Netgin to scan your cell phone. You may let it run in the background while you surf the Web or view your emails.
4. Wait for a message from your Netgin software. This will let you know if it found any traces of spyware on your cell phone. If so, select "REMOVE" to remove the spyware.
5. Select the "Options" button. Choose the option to let Netgin scan your incoming email attachments or text messages and any malicious websites.
AVG Java Mobile
6. Choose the AVG Java Mobile from your applications or media file in your menu. Wait for it to launch on your cell phone.
7. Select the "SCAN" button. Wait for AVG to scan all of your cell phone's files and folders. Click "DELETE" to delete any spyware detected by AVG.
8. Press the "Check for Updates" button to update the AVG Java Mobile tool. This keeps your Java spyware removal tool updated with the latest antispyware features.
9. Select the "Preferences" button. Choose if you want AVG to update at certain times or daily. You may also manually set the date and time at which you want AVG Java Mobile to scan your cell phone.
Kapersky Anti-Virus Mobile
10. Run Kapersky Anti-Virus Mobile on your cell phone. Select the "Options" button. Decide whether you want scheduled or automatic scanning.
11. Create a schedule, if desired, for Kapersky to scan. Select a time when you do not expect to be using your cell phone. Otherwise, Kapersky Anti-Virus Mobile will scan every time you turn on your cell phone. You may set it to scan daily, weekly or monthly.
12. Choose which components of your cell phone you want Kapersky to scan. It scans your text messages, emails and executable files (audio, video and photos). Select "ALL" for it to scan all components.
13. Select the "SCAN" button. Wait for the process to complete. Remove any spyware found on your cell phone.
