The T-Mobile Shadow (manufactured by HTC) is a phone that runs on the Windows Mobile operating system. After acquiring your Shadow, you might need to install the SIM card, although it is common for in-store representatives to do this for you. Your SIM card contains vital information about your mobile account (including your telephone number) and your carrier, T-Mobile. The phone cannot be operated without the SIM card in place.
Instructions
1. Turn off the phone before installing the SIM card. Hold the "End" button for several seconds until the Shadow powers off.
2. Position the Shadow face down on your palm, with the battery cover toward the bottom of your hand. Hold the phone tightly.
3. Position your finger against the battery cover. Push the battery cover down to detach it.
4. Grab the battery by its bottom and lift it from the compartment.
5. Insert the SIM card into the slot on the upper-left side of the battery compartment. Position the card so the gold terminals are facing down and the angled edge is facing left.
6. Replace the battery and snap on the battery cover. Hold the "Call" button for several seconds to power the Shadow back on.
