Use Nokia N97

Nokia N97 is a touchscreen mobile phone with a sliding full QWERTY keyboard. The screen is developed to recognize handwriting and is converted to text format by the pre-installed software. A 5-megapixel camera is integrated at the rear with autofocus and LED flash. Another camera at the front is designed for video calling. N97 comes with 32 gigabytes of internal storage which can be expanded up to 16 gigabytes more using the microSD memory card. Nokia N97 features Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth and USB connectivity. The device is running on Symbian operating system and comes preloaded with a variety of applications, including media player, digital compass, document viewer, email and photo editor. Using Nokia N97 is easy via the touch-based graphical user interface.


Instructions


1. Insert the SIM card and battery. Detach the back cover by slightly pulling from the bottom end. Under the camera lens, on the top right corner the SIM card holder is placed. Pull it out and put the SIM card in, making sure the metallic chip is facing down. Insert the SIM card holder back to its original position. Put the battery in the battery compartment. Put the back cover over the battery.


2. Press and hold down the power key to turn on the device. The power key is embedded on the top-left corner. Enter the PIN code if prompted by the device. The default PIN code is 12345.


3. Press the keypad symbol on the home screen to launch the phone dialer. Enter the phone number of the person you want to call and then press the call key. Numbers can be deleted by pressing the "C" key. Press the "end" key to end the call.


4. Send a text message by selecting "Menu." Choose the "Messaging" option. Select "New message." Select a number from the contacts list or enter the cellphone number manually. Compose the text message. Press the call key to send the message.


5. Take a snap through the embedded camera. Select "Menu" and then choose "Applications." Select "Camera" option. Make sure the subject is clearly appearing on the screen of the cellphone and then select the camera icon to take the photo.


6. Play music in the media player. Select "Menu" and then choose "Music." Select "Music Library." Choose the on-screen navigation keys to play, pause, fast-forward or rewind the music track.
