Set A Security Code For Voicemail On A Verizon Blackberry

Safeguard the privacy of your BlackBerry's voice messages by setting a unique security code. Once you have set a code, you will need to enter it whenever you check messages on the BlackBerry and when calling the Verizon voice mail system from an outside number. If you are just getting started with a new BlackBerry smartphone, you can choose your security code when setting up your voice mail account. If you need to change an old code or can't remember your password, several self-service options are available.

Instructions

1. Press "*86" and then press the green "Send" key.

2. Follow the automated prompts to set up your voice mail. Use your BlackBerry's keypad to enter a security code when prompted.

3. Press the red "End" key to disconnect the call when setup is complete.
