Unlock An Australian Vodafone Blackberry

Unlock your Australian Vodafone BlackBerry for use with a new cell phone provider.


Vodafone is the largest telecommunication company in the world based on revenue sales. It also owns 45% of Verizon Wireless. Vodafone Australia utilizes GSM networks and has unique SIM cards for its' phones. If you want to unlock an Australian Vodafone BlackBerry to use with another provider, you can do so with a new SIM card from your new provider and a SIM unlock code.


Instructions


1. Turn on the Vodafone BlackBerry and press "#06#." Your IMEI code should be displayed. Write this code down.


2. Contact the cell phone service provider that you use and let the customer service agent know you need the SIM unlock code for the BlackBerry. Give her the IMEI code you wrote down in Step 1. She should send the unlock code to your email address. Write down the unlock code once you receive it.


3. Remove the BlackBerry battery from the device. Remove the SIM card and replace it with the SIM card from your new service provider. Place the battery back into the phone. Wait for the phone to reboot.


4. Press "Enter" when prompted. Type the SIM unlock code given to you by your service provider and press "Enter." The Australian Vodafone BlackBerry should now be unlocked.
