Send Messages Via Bluetooth To A Nokia Phone

There are many ways to send SMS messages. Users can send them via instant messaging, standard text messaging and now via Bluetooth. Sending a message via Bluetooth has its advantages and disadvantages. When sending via Bluetooth, this isn't reflected on the cellular bill since it is not using the cellular service. The downside is that the other user must be within Bluetooth range in order to send and receive messages.


Instructions


1. Ensure the Bluetooth connectivity is on for both devices. do this will vary by manufacturer, although it is usually "Menu" then "Connections" and select "Bluetooth." On the Nokia, press "Function" and "CNTRL" at the same time.


2. Pair the two devices together. Go into the "Menu" section of the Nokia and select "Settings" and "Bluetooth."


3. Select "Discoverable." A new menu will open up with the available devices in range. Select the desired device and enter the passcode if requested. The two devices are now paired together.


4. Open the "Messaging" menu on the phone sending the message.


5. Click "Compose" or "New" depending on the device.


6. Type the desired message and click "Send Via."


7. Select "Bluetooth" from the drop-down menu. The Nokia will search for all devices within range.


8. Select "Nokia" from the available devices. The message has been sent to the other Nokia.
