Unlock your Palm 750V Treo before traveling overseas.
The Palm 750V Treo phone comes with a hidden security feature that locks it from other networks. This means you would have difficulty switching wireless providers or using your phone overseas. If you would like to know unlock your phone, have your current wireless provider help you. Depending on how long you have been under contract, your provider may offer this service for free or for a small fee. You also need to use an International Mobile Equipment Identification (IMEI) number to obtain an unlock code. This helps your provider generate the right code for your 750V phone.
Instructions
1. Turn off your Palm 750V phone. Remove the protective cover in the back.
2. Take out the battery and locate the IMEI number on the bottom. Write down the IMEI number.
3. Remove the SIM card. Replace it with one from a new wireless provider. Replace the battery and protective cover.
4. Contact your current wireless provider. Ask for an unlock code. Provide your phone's IMEI number and model number.
5. Turn on your 705V phone. Touch the "Menu" button followed by "Phone Application."
6. Enter "#*#CODE#*#" into your phone's keypad. "CODE" will be the unlock code you received from your provider.
7. Touch the "Number" button. Your phone will unlock, reboot and display your new wireless provider.
