Unlock A Nokia 6230

Nokia 6230 was primarily sold by Cingular Wireless before the company was bought out by ATT. It is relatively easy to unlock your Nokia 6230 because it is a GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) phone. This means that to use the phone on a different GSM network, you need to complete a SIM unlock. Once the phone is unlocked, you can put any active SIM card into the phone and use that carrier’s network.

Instructions

1. Press the # (pound) key on the Nokia 6230.

2. Press the * (Star) key three times quickly. This populates "#P" on the screen.

3. Press the * (Star) key four times quickly. This screen will show "#PW".

4. Press the * (Star) key twice quickly. This shows "#PW+" on the screen.

5. Enter the eight-digit unlock code provided to you by your carrier.

6. Press the * (Star) key once quickly. This populates "#PW+(unlock code)+" on the screen.
