My Nokia 6120 Won'T Turn On

The Nokia 6120 cell phone may experience problems on occasion that prevent you from turning on the phone. In most cases, the problem is caused by the user not knowing properly turn on the phone or because of a problem with the battery. You can troubleshoot the Nokia 6120 when it doesn't turn on to fix the phone so that it works as it should.

Instructions

1. Press and hold the "Power" button located on the top of the phone until the LCD screen turns on. Pressing and releasing the "Power" button quickly will not turn on the phone.

2. Charge the phone battery by plugging the AC adapter into the power jack on the bottom of the Nokia 6120. Plug the other end of the AC adapter into a power outlet. Look for the charging icon on the LCD screen. It may take several minutes for the icon to appear if the battery is exhausted. Repeat Step 1 once the icon appears to see if your phone turns on. If it does, let the battery charge fully, which takes approximately 80 minutes.

3. Check the battery to make sure it is installed correctly in the phone. Remove the battery cover from the back of the phone by sliding it downward. The battery contacts should face down and toward the top of the phone. Replace the battery cover when finished and repeat Steps 1 and 2 if the battery was not properly installed.

4. Purchase a replacement battery from Nokia and install it in your phone. Over time, the battery will no longer hold a charge and need replacement. Charge the new battery before attempting to turn on the phone, and then repeat Step 1.
