Put ringtones on a Motorola Vu204 cell phone through a picture text message.
The Motorola Vu204 is a Verizon cell phone, which means that you cannot put ringtones on it by downloading them through a traditional means, such as text message, USB cable or microSD memory card. Verizon blocks you from these methods so that you have to download ringtones from its ringtone download center. Although a way does exist for you to put ringtones on a Motorola Vu204 cell phone without going through the ringtone download center.
Instructions
1. Launch your email account and choose the option to compose a new email message.
2. Denote your Motorola Vu204's 10-digit cell phone number followed by Verizon's picture text messaging extension as the recipient of the email message (e.g. xxxxxxxxxx@vzwpix.com).
3. Attach the ringtone you want to put on your Motorola Vu204 to the message and then send the message to your cell phone.
4. Press the "OK" button on your Motorola Vu204 when you receive the picture text message to view it. Press the right soft key to access the "Options" menu. Scroll to "Save as Ringtone" and press the "OK" button. The ringtone is now on your Motorola Vu204.
