Jabra Bt8040 Pairing Instructions

A Jabra Bluetooth headset is safer to use while driving.


Jabra is a popular headset brand that is compatible with a variety of cell phones. You can use a Jabra BT8040 headset to free up your hands while doing tasks or driving, as the use of headset is considered a safer way to talk on the phone while in the car. Pairing--or programming--your headset with a Bluetooth-enabled phone only takes a few minutes, and procedures may vary depending on the model of your cell phone.


Instructions


1. Press the "Menu" key on your mobile phone and select "Tools." Depending on the model of your phone, you may need to select "Applications" to access the "Bluetooth" menu.


2. Select "Bluetooth" and highlight "Add New Device" or "Search for New Device." Press the "OK" key.


3. Select "Yes" to indicate you want to turn on the phone's Bluetooth.


4. Press and hold the "Answer" button on the headset until the LED light is solid blue.


5. Select "BT8040" from the list of found devices and enter the passkey of "0000" to confirm the pairing.
