Tether With V Cast

Tethering your cell phone to your computer is a great way to browse the Internet on your computer from wherever you are. Tethering uses your cell phone's data connection as the computer's Internet connection. Verizon Wireless allows you to tether your Android phone for $29.99 a month as of October 2010. The tethering app that is unlocked when you purchase the tethering plan is one of the V Cast apps, and it is very simple to use.

Instructions

1. Press the "3G Hotspot" app on your Android handset after you purchase the tethering app from your local Verizon Wireless dealer.

2. Press the "Yes" button to agree to the "Battery Usage Warning." Your Android phone will now be broadcasting a wireless Internet signal using the V Cast tethering app.

3. Select the "Wireless Internet" settings on your computer that you want to be tethered to the Android phone. Select the "Droid" network ID from the list of available networks. Your computer will now connect to the Internet via your Android cell phone.
