Check Signal Strength On An Htc Touch Pro 2

Making and receiving phone calls and text messages on your cellphone is only possible when you are receiving a network signal on your phone. Like most mobile phones, the Android-powered HTC Touch Pro 2 has a signal strength indicator. If you are having trouble making phone calls or sending text messages, or if your connection is poor when talking on the phone, checking the signal strength indicator will help you troubleshoot the problem.

Instructions

1. Press and release the "Power" button on the top of the phone to turn on the screen. The "Power" button icon is a circle with a line through it.

2. Look at the top of the screen to find the signal strength indicator. The signal strength indicator is the third symbol to the right of the "Start" button. It has four vertical bars of different lengths. Signal strength is strongest when all four bars are lit and weakest when only one bar is lit. If an upside-down triangle with a vertical line extending from it appears on the screen instead of the four bars, it means your Touch Pro 2 is not receiving a signal.

3. Tap the signal strength indicator with your finger to access the "Notifications" screen. This screen provides additional information about your connection status. On the right side of the screen, under the word "Notifications," is the signal strength indicator. On the left side of the screen, under "Notifications," is your connection information. It might indicate, for example, that you are connected to the 3G network.
