Voice Mail Information For The Blackberry Pearl

Voice mail access is a feature commonly made available by mobile service providers. The voice mail system for the BlackBerry Pearl gives you the opportunity to record your own greeting and access your personal messages from callers.

BlackBerry Pearl

The BlackBerry Pearl (also called the BlackBerry 8110 series) differs from the other BlackBerry smartphones in that it doesn't feature the full "QWERTY" keyboard. Instead, it offers the productivity features of the BlackBerry brand in a slimmer handset than other BlackBerry models.

Voice Mail

Each time someone calls your BlackBerry Pearl, you have the opportunity to answer the call. If you don't answer, the call will roll over to your mobile service provider's voice mail system. The caller hears an outgoing message and then has the opportunity to record a message for you to listen to later.

Voice Mail Greetings

Your voice mail greeting speaks to your callers when you can't. Depending on your mobile service provider, you have three choices for your voice mail greeting: a computerized voice stating your phone number, a computerized voice presenting your own voice saying your name, or a recorded message made by you.

Notifications "Options" > "Profiles."

Listening to Messages

To hear new voice mail messages, hold the number "1" key down to enable the speed dial. Enter a voice mail PIN code, if required. Listen to the voice mail messages and follow the system prompts to replay, save or delete the messages.
