Set Up My Charter Email On My Blackberry

BlackBerry devices can be set up to send and receive emails via a Charter account.


BlackBerry devices have gained tremendous popularity with mobile phone and PDA users in large part because of their renowned messaging capabilities. The devices can be set up to send and receive emails with almost any email service provider. If you use Charter Communications as your email provider, then you too can have your email at your fingertips anywhere you go if you properly set up your BlackBerry.


Instructions


1. Connect your BlackBerry to your computer with the USB cord that was provided when you purchased it. Log on to your BlackBerry Internet Service account.


2. Choose "Setup New Account." Type in your Charter email address and password in the text boxes provided (you will need to type in your password twice to confirm), and click "Next." A window will open and let you know that you have successfully added the account,


3. Click on "Edit your account settings", and then select the tab labeled "Advanced."


4. Confirm that the following information is entered in the corresponding text boxes, or edit them so that they appear as follows:


Email server: mobile.charter.net


Port: 993


5. Click to place a check mark in the check box labeled "SSL" and you are finished setting up your BlackBerry device for Charter email.
