Change The Chinese Settings On A Nokia E72i

The E72i is one of Nokia's best-selling smartphones. Its 250 MB storage capacity and 128 MB of RAM make it a popular choice among media users and its affordable cost is attractive for phone users who might be daunted by the high price of other smartphones. Because the E72i is used internationally, it comes preloaded with different language options. Users can easily toggle between Chinese and English settings, giving multilingual users full functionality and control of their handset.

Instructions

1. Select the "Menu" option from the home screen of the E72i.

2. Locate and select the "Control Panel" icon. Within the Control Panel, select the "Settings and General" tab.

3. Scroll down using the track ball to the personalization tab and press select. Choose the "Languages" option from the personalization tab.

4. Change the "Phone Language" setting from English to Chinese (or vice versa) to change the root language of the phone. This setting controls the internal language of the phone, from menu options to command prompts.

5. Change the "Writing Language" setting to toggle back and forth between English and Chinese keyboard setups. Although the functions of the buttons will change, they will physically retain their original factory-determined layout.
