Install The Touchscreen On A Nokia N95

The Nokia N95 comes equipped with a front touchscreen LCD that retracts to reveal a keypad. This screen is a sensitive component and because it's exposed it is vulnerable to damage. If you have a cracked screen on your N95 you don't need to toss it out; instead, you can replace the screen yourself.

Instructions

1. Turn off your N95 and turn the unit over. Slide the battery door off the rear of the unit and remove the battery.

2. Slide the screen up and remove the two screws from the back corners of the screen.

3. Slide the screen down and remove the two screws from the back corners of the screen.

4. Insert the edge of a plastic card, such as a credit or discount card, into the frame that covers the top of the screen. Work your way around until the frame pops off.

5. Lift the bottom keypad up to expose the orange screen cable. Unplug the screen cable from the phone.

6. Lift the screen up and remove it. Fit a new screen in its place and reverse the steps for reassembly.
