Make Your Bluetooth Headset Work For Windows Xp

To ensure your Bluetooth headset works with your Windows XP computer, you must pair the headset to your computer. This requires that your computer or laptop has Bluetooth functionality and is enabled. In Windows XP, you add a device and pair it from the Bluetooth settings option. This is a more complex process than in subsequent Windows operating systems, but it still has the exact same functionality. Pairing your Bluetooth headset means that you will be able to use it within online chat functions.

Instructions

1. Click on "Start," and then "Run." Type "bthprops.cpl" into the "Run" box, and click "OK."

2. Click "Add" in the Bluetooth "Settings" window that appears.

3. Turn on your Bluetooth headset and, if there is an appropriate button, make the device discoverable.

4. Click on "Next" in the "Add" window. Select your Bluetooth headset from the list, and click "Next."

5. Enter, on your computer, the passcode, if prompted to pair the devices. This is detailed within the headset documentation.

6. Click "Finish" at the end of the process to complete pairing your devices.
