Find A Cell Phone Model Number Without The Phone

Find a Cell Phone Model Number Without the Phone

The easiest way to find out the model number of your cell phone is to check on the phone itself. The information is usually printed on the outside of the phone or under the battery. However, if you don't have the phone with you, you can still determine the model number. As long as you know the name of the manufacturer, what the phone looks like and some of its features, you can look up the model number online.

Instructions

1. Find a website that compares cell phone features, such as GSMArena or Phone Scoop. These sites are designed to help you choose a phone, but can just as easily be used to determine the model number of a phone you already have.

2. Select the brand of the phone. While not a necessity, if you remember part of the model number, enter it in the search box.

3. Go through the list of features and select any that you can remember. For example, if you know the phone has a 5mp camera, select that option from the choices provided. When you have gone through the entire list, click on "Search." You will see the names and photos of all of the phones that match your description.

4. Select the phone that looks closest to your phone. The model number will be printed next to the photo. Keep in mind that the phone in the photograph may not be the same color as your own. You'll then see all of the specifications for the phone, plus a larger photo. This information will help you decide if you've selected the right model number.
