Turn My Nokia 6300 Off

Turning off your Nokia 6300 is a snap -- if you know your PIN.

The Nokia 6300 cell phone comes with security features that prevent unauthorized access to your phone. However, these security features can lock you out of your own phone if you are unaware of them. Before shutting down your phone for the first time, you'll want to check what your PIN and UPIN codes are -- and change them if you want -- so that you are able to turn the phone back on again.

Instructions

1. Press the Navi key -- the large button in the upper section of your phone -- to access the menu.

2. Scroll to "Settings" and press the Navi key.

3. Scroll to "Security" and press the Navi key.

4. Select "Access codes" and press the Navi key.

5. Change your PIN and UPIN codes to something you can remember.

6. Hold down the Power key, which is on top of the phone above the display.

7. Enter your PIN or UPIN if prompted. Your phone should shut down.
