Sync Jawbone To A Blackberry

Sync Jawbone to a Blackberry

A Jawbone is a type of Bluetooth headset that you can use with a BlackBerry to wirelessly talk on calls. The two devices work together in what is called a "pairing." Once paired, you can answer calls, talk, and even change the headset volume all without every picking up your BlackBerry. You need to turn on Bluetooth on both the BlackBerry and the headset in order to sync the devices.

Instructions

Pair Devices

1. Press the "Menu" button on the main screen of your BlackBerry. Scroll to and select the option for "Manage Connections." Scroll to and select the "Set Up Bluetooth" option.

2. Select "OK" to turn on your Bluetooth. Press and hold down the "Power" button on the Jawbone to turn it on.

3. Press and hold down the "Talk" button and the "Main" button on the headset until a light blinks red and white repeatedly. Select the option to "Search" on the BlackBerry.

4. Scroll to and select the Jawbone headset's name. Enter the password for the Jawbone headset. This is typically set to the default setting of four zeroes. Press the "OK" option.

5. Make sure that a progress bar appears to indicate pairing. Make sure that the headset blinks blue to indicate a successful pair. Place a test call with the BlackBerry to familiarize yourself with the Jawbone functions.
