Unlock Bb5 Phones With A Dku2

A DKU-2 USB cable plugs directly into your phone.

Because your Nokia phone has BB5 software installed on it, it has a lock on it. This lock prevents you from using your cell phone with other wireless networks. To unlock your phone with your DKU-2 USB cable, you need to use unlocking software. With BB5 unlocking software, you can get your phone's unlock code. Once it is unlocked, you have the ability to switch networks.

Instructions

1. Launch a Web browser. Find BB5 unlocking software. Examples include Unlock Me, Nokia Free and BB5 Unblocker. (See Resources.)

2. Click the "Download" link. Save the file to your desktop. Double-click the icon to complete the installation process. Save the software to your computer's hard drive. Allow your computer to reboot.

3. Remove the protective cover from the back of your phone. Take out the battery and SIM card. Lift up the SIM with your fingernail to remove it.

4. Replace the battery and protective cover. Turn on your BB5 phone. Attach the DKU-2 USB cable to your phone and your computer.

5. Launch the BB5 unlocking software. Click the "Read Phone" button. Click "Make Log" and wait for the unlock code.

6. Enter the unlock code on your phone's keypad. Press the "OK" button. Wait for your phone to restart, which means you unlocked it.
