Unlock My Nokia 3220 Restriction Code

The Nokia 3220 was sold as a locked phone by AT&T, T-Mobile, and CellularOne. The phone cannot be activated on another carrier without entering a restriction code. The unlock code is unique to each individual handset. No two 3220s have the same lock code. Once you have the unlock code, you can remove the restriction and activate the 3220 on another carrier's network.

Instructions

1. Contact your carrier for the unlock code. If your carrier will not give you the lock code, you can purchase the code from one of the various phone unlocking services on the Internet.

2. Turn the phone over and press the battery door release button on the bottom edge of the phone. Pull the battery door away from the body of the 3220 and set it aside.

3. Swing the battery out by lifting the bottom edge. Press the SIM card release and slide the SIM towards the top of the phone. Put the battery back in and replace the cover.

4. Power on the phone and press the "#" key. The phone will prompt for a restriction code.

5. Press the "*" key three times to enter a "p" then four times to enter a "w" and twice to enter a "+" symbol. Type the unlock, then enter "+7#" using the keypad. If your unlock code is 12345678, "pw+12345678+7" would appear on the screen. If it does not accept the code, try "1" instead of "7" at the end.

6. Press "#" to confirm. The phone will display "Restriction Removed" and restart itself automatically.
