Unlock your Nokia 6822 for free with an unlock code.
The Nokia 6822 comes equipped with a full QWERTY keyboard, speakerphone and BlackBerry push email. The device automatically comes locked to Cellular One/Dobson, but you can remove the network lock with an unlock code for free, to allow you to use the device with another carrier.
Instructions
1. Key in "*#06#" from your Nokia 6822 phone and wait for the international mobile equipment identifier (IMEI) number to appear on the screen. Write this number down.
2. Contact your wireless provider. Ask the operator to provide you with the unlock code for your phone.
3. Provide the operator with the IMEI number for your phone. Write the unlock code down, when told to do so.
4. Turn off your Nokia 6822 phone. Flip the phone around. Remove the battery and locate the SIM card slot. Remove the SIM card. Reinsert the battery and turn the device back on.
5. Key "#PW+ (Unlock code) +1#" once the phone reboots. The phone will say "SIM Restriction Off" if the code is accepted, which indicates that the phone is unlocked.
