Send Audio To A Cell Phone

Send your audio files to your phone with Bluetooth.

Cell phones have converged with other devices, and are no longer used exclusively for SMS or making phone calls. Today they can be used for games, recording audio files or listening to MP3s. If you would like to send audio files from a laptop or other device to your phone, then using Bluetooth is a good way to do it.

Instructions

1. Use Bluetooth to send your audio files from a mobile device to your phone. Begin by going to your phone and selecting "Menu," and select "Settings," "Connections" and select "Bluetooth." Choose "Make Phone Discoverable" and this will activate your phone's Bluetooth capability.

2. Activate Bluetooth on your other device. If you are using a phone you will use the exact same steps described earlier. If you are using a computer go to "Control Panel" and select "Bluetooth Configuration." Place your phone near the other device. Select your phone from the available devices menu. Enter the pin number of the phone. The default setting for most phones is "0000" or "8888." You will get a confirmation method once the devices are connected.

3. Go to the device where the audio file is located and highlight it. Right-click on it and select "Send" and then "Send by Bluetooth." This will start the transfer process. It will take about 30 seconds to one minute to complete depending on how large the file is.
