Read Usps Tracking Numbers

The United States Postal Service provides tracking information on express, global express, express mail international and priority mail international packages. Provided free of charge, tracking information allows you to see the statues of a package to determine its delivery date. When you track a package, you have the ability to ensure your package is delivered to its recipient and arrives unharmed. In addition, each tracked package contains a different tracking scan that helps you determine where the package is.


Instructions


1. Locate the tracking numbers on your USPS receipt. The numbers will say "Tracking."


2. Visit the USPS website. Only from the website may you use and read the numbers. Select the "Track and Confirm" option on the USPS website. Using the located tracking numbers on the receipt, carefully enter each letter and nine digit number.


3. Check the status of a package by reading the scanning events. Each tracked package will contain a scan notice, indicating what the status of the package is. If the scan status states "Electronic Shipping Info Received," it means the individual shipping this package will allow you access to track its status. If scan event states, "Processed Through Sort Facility" the package is in transit to its destination. If the scan reads, "Out-for-Delivery" the package will arrive shortly to its destination.
