Remove The Happy Birthday Virus

The Happy Birthday virus will change your cursor.


The Happy Birthday virus, also known as Surabaya in My Birthday, is a computer virus that affects the Windows operating system. The Happy Birthday virus appears in the form of the words "Happy Birthday" hovering continually over your cursor. In addition to being an annoyance, the Happy Birthday virus may slow your computer, decrease your available memory, and change your Internet and Desktop settings. The best way to remove the virus is to run your antivirus program. However, the virus can also be removed manually.


Instructions


End Infected Processes


1. Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete.


2. Click on the "Task Manager."


3. Click on the "Processes" tab.


4. End the following processes. To end a process, right-click on it and select "End Process."

Delete Infected Files


5. Click on the "Start" menu.


6. Click on the "Search Programs and Files" box.


7. Type "autorun.in" into the box.


8. Right-click on the file that appears in the results list, and select "Delete."
