Featuring all the functionality found on a single-purpose GPS navigation device, Garmin's Mobile XT smartphone application provides voice-prompt navigation from the palm of your hand. In order to use the application, you will need to activate the GPS receiver on your Nokia phone as well as activate it in Garmin Mobile XT. The process is simple and only takes a few minutes.
Instructions
1. Activate the GPS support in your Nokia phone. Usually the GPS settings are located in the System Preferences application, but finding the GPS preferences will depend on which model of Nokia phone you use. Reference the model's user manual if you are unable to find the GPS settings (see Resources).
2. Open your application menu and launch Garmin XT.
3. Tap or select the "GPS" icon, step outside and walk to a place without power lines or trees. Once the bars on the GPS status screen have turned green, you have enabled the positioning system and are ready to navigate using Garmin XT.
