Remove A Battery In An Lg Dare

Remove a Battery in an LG Dare

The LG Dare is a mobile phone powered by a rechargeable battery. The battery in the Dare is charged while installed in the phone. You do not need to remove the battery often, but there are some situations when removing the battery will return your phone to standard operation. The most common reasons for removing the battery are if the phone gets wet and the battery needs to dry, the phone is "frozen" and button operations do not unfreeze it, or if the battery is old and needs replacement because the older battery no longer holds a charge.

Instructions

1. Turn off the power to the phone by pressing and holding the "Power/End" button, which is the button with the symbol of a red phone handset. You may lose data on your phone if you do not shut off the power prior to removing the battery.

2. Turn the phone over so the back is facing up. The battery is stored in a compartment in the back of your phone.

3. Press up on the battery cover to release it from the body of the phone. Lift it off of the body and place it to the side.

4. Place a finger on the grooved section of the battery and lift it out of the battery compartment.

5. Replace the battery by inserting it into the compartment with the contacts facing down and toward the bottom of the camera. Press the other end of the battery until it clicks in place and slide the battery cover over the compartment.
