Share multimedia files from you cell phone using MMS and GPRS.
Most smart phones incorporate functions which allow you to transfer, store and share numerous digital file formats between your phone and computers or other similar phones. Sharing such multimedia files can be achieved by connecting your phone to another device with appropriate cables or by sending information wirelessly. Your phone's Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) and General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) are used to make such wireless file transfers. In order to share files wirelessly you will need to activate your phone's MMS and GPRS capabilities, which can be achieved by notifying your network provider.
Instructions
Activating MMS
1. Create a new text message which includes text similar to "MMS" or "Set MMS."
2. Send the message to your network provider's phone number. This phone number can be found on your provider's website or in your phone's instruction manual.
3. Turn your phone off and on again once your network provider has sent you a message to confirm that MMS has been activated. It may take up to 24 hours before you receive this confirmation and a further 24 hours before MMS is fully functional.
Activating GPRS
4. Create a new text message which includes text similar to "GPRS" or "Set GPRS."
5. Send the message to your network provider's phone number. This phone number can be found on your provider's website or in the instruction manual.
6. Turn your phone off and on again once your network provider has sent you a message to confirm that GPRS has been activated. It may take up to 24 hours before you receive this confirmation and a further 24 hours before GPRS is fully functional.
