Unlock A Motorola W175

The Motorola W175 is a cell phone that weighs 3 ounces and features an LCD screen and a 500 number phone book capacity. As with other Motorola cell phones, you need to have signed up with T-Mobile in order to use the W175. If you end your contract with T-Mobile, your cell phone will become locked, which prevents you from making calls or sending text messages. You'll need to use a special unlock code and a new SIM card in order to restore full use of your W175.

Instructions

1. Register with a different network. When you register, you'll receive a SIM card that you'll need to place in your Motorola W175. To do this, simply remove the old SIM card (located near the battery) and insert the new one.

2. Buy a Motorola W175 unlocking code. (See Resources for links to vendor sites.) You'll need to provide your IMEI number, which can be found near the W175's battery.

3. Turn on your W175 and type in the unlock code. Your Motorola will be unlocked, allowing you to send text messages and make calls.
