Lock the Keypad on a Blackberry Curve

Lock the keypad on your Blackberry Curve to prevent accidentally placing a call to someone. Accidental calls can be quite embarrassing, particularly if you are in a private or personal situation when you accidentally place the call. This may be a common occurence if you keep your Curve in your pocket. You can lock the keypad as well as unlock it when you are ready to use it by pressing a few simple buttons on your Blackberry Curve.

Instructions

1. Locate the "A" button on your keypad. This key is directly beneath "Q" on the far-left side of the keypad.

2. Locate the Blackberry Curve's "Send" button. This button shows the Blackberry icon. It's directly to the left of your Curve's trackball.

3. Press the "A" key and the "Send" button at the same time. Your Curve's keypad is now locked.

4. Press the "Star" button to unlock your keypad. If you've set a password for your device, enter it on the screen to unlock the keypad.
