Use A Nokia 5700 Bluetooth To Connect To The Internet

Use your Nokia 5700's Bluetooth to connect your computer to the Internet.


Maintaining a wireless Internet connection while on the road can be critical to doing business in real time. A wireless Internet connection can also help you send urgent messages and receive timely information. Your Nokia 5700 can help you access all of the wireless Internet's benefits, provided you have signed up for phone-as-modem service with your wireless carrier. Nokia 5700's Bluetooth connectivity allows you to access the Internet on laptops and desktop computers without tying you down to a particular network or Wi-Fi hotspot.


Instructions


1. Contact your Nokia 5700's service provider to order phone-as-modem service if you have not done already done so. Phone-as-modem service allows your Nokia 5700 to share its wireless Internet signal with your computer.


2. Install all setup programs and drivers that come with your Nokia 5700's phone-as-modem wireless Internet package. Run the included CD containing an installation wizard and account setup information if applicable.


3. Activate your Nokia 5700's Bluetooth connection. Select the "Bluetooth" option from the "Connectivity" tab in your Nokia 5700's main menu. Open "Bluetooth" and select "On" to send and receive a Bluetooth signal.


4. Pair your Nokia 5700 and computer through Bluetooth. Access the Bluetooth manager from your computer's file manager and select the Nokia 5700 from its list of nearby devices. From here, the computer and Nokia 5700 will share a Bluetooth signal.


5. Run the phone-as-modem connectivity application or interface you installed on your computer in Step 2. Enter any necessary login information if applicable.
