Unlock A Net10 Nokia 1600

Use your phone anywhere in the world when it is unlocked.


Most Nokia 1600 phones are locked when purchased. This means that they can only be used on one wireless network. When the phone is unlocked, it is possible to use a cell phone plan from any wireless network around the world. An unlocked phone allows you to save money by using local SIM cards and avoiding expensive roaming charges. The SIM card contains the data for the cell phone and can easily be changed when the phone is unlocked. In order to unlock your Nokia 1600, you need an unlock code from your current cell phone provider.


Instructions


1. Purchase the unlock code from your cell phone provider. The cell phone company will provide an unlock code specifically for your cell phone. If you have been with the company for more than three months, they you should be able to get an unlock code for free.


2. Replace the old SIM card with the new SIM card from the new cell phone provider. Turn the phone on.


3. Type in the following line, "PW+unlockcode+1#". The unlock code is the eight digit unlock code you received from your cell phone provider. Press enter when the line is typed.


4. Ensure that the display shows, "SIM Restriction Off."
