Instructions
1. Obtain a lock code for the Nokia 6822. You can get the lock code from the cell phone provider that sold the phone, or you can purchase a lock code from a cell phone unlocking service online. The lock code is based on the phone's IMEI number. You can display the IMEI by typing "*#06#" on the keypad.
2. Power the 6822 on with no SIM card inserted.
3. Type "#pw+LOCKCODE+1#" using the phone keypad. Press the "*" key three times in quick succession to get a "p." Press the "*" four times quickly to get a "w" and twice to get a "+" symbol. Type your lock code in place of LOCKCODE.
4. Wait for the screen to display "SIM Restriction Off" then power off the phone and insert the new SIM.
