Change The Sms Text Option From Gsm To Gprs

GPRS and GSM are wireless services for transferring data.

Short Messaging Service (SMS) is a service that most mobile network operators provide to their subscribers, enabling them to send text messages to other people using their mobile devices. Depending on your subscription plan, you may send text messages free of charge or at a lower rate than making a voice call. In some recent phone models, users can change the mode through which they send their text messages, either GSM or GPRS. To use the GPRS option, you must have an active data service plan fully configured on your mobile handset.

Instructions

1. Switch on your mobile handset. From the main screen, select the "Menu" key.

2. Select the "Messaging" option, or whatever the text messaging option is on your phone.

3. Choose "Options" and select the "Settings."

4. Select "Text Message" at the "Setting" option screen and navigate to "Preferred Connection" or a similar option, depending on the type of phone you use.

5. Select the "GPRS" option to change your current SMS messaging option from GSM to GPRS.
