Activate Push To Talk

The push to talk feature is an excellent tool for conference calls.

The push to talk feature is found on many cell phones. It allows you to use your cell phones as a unlimited range two-way radio. Using the push to talk feature will not use up your minutes and can lower your cell phone bill. By pushing the "Push to Talk" button on your cellular phone, you can cheaply and easily communicate with family and friends.

Instructions

1. Select and purchase a cellular phone that has the push to talk feature. Decide on a rate plane that includes the push to talk service. Plans range from select plans with limited push to talk use, or an unlimited plan allowing you to use the feature whenever you want.

2. Push the "PTT" button on your cellular device. In many cases the "PTT" button is located on the side of your cellular phone.

3. Follow the prompts displayed on the screen. Select a contact number from your push to talk address book. Push to talk calls can only be made to other push to talk users. Scroll through your list of contacts and stop on the user you wish to contact. Press and hold down the "PTT" button. Begin speaking into the phone. Release the "PTT" button when you finish speaking.
