The "key" to unlocking your BlackBerry Curve is finding the correct button.
With a clear screen, full keyboard and numerous other features, the Blackberry Curve 8900 is handy to have --- unless the keypad is locked and you're unsure unlock it. Nearly all current cell phones have a way to lock the keypad to keep accidental calls and texts to a minimum. Unlocking the keypad is relatively simple, if you know the right keys --- or series of keys --- to press. Once the keypad is unlocked, you may use your phone as normal.
Instructions
1. Press any key. If a message appears on your screen that says your BlackBerry Curve 8900 is locked, you will need to unlock it. The typical message is, "Keypad is locked. Press the Lock button to unlock."
2. Press the lock button. The lock button is simply the flush button on the top left-hand side of the BlackBerry Curve 8900.
3. Make your call, type your text or check your email as desired. To relock your keypad, simply push the lock button again.
