Receive Skype On My Cell Phone

The popular online communication service Skype can now be used with most cell phones. Depending on the service provider, many features like free Skype-to-Skype calls and instant messaging, inexpensive rates for international phone calls, and file sharing are now available for cell phones. Smartphones can access Skype through 3G or Wi-Fi networks, while the iPhone uses the Skype application. Older model phones must use the Skype To Go program, which requires prepaid Skype credits. This method creates new Skype numbers for up to nine of your international contacts so you can call them anytime with Skype's international rates.

Instructions

1. Visit Skype.com/m on your smartphone, enter your cell-phone number and press the "Get Skype mobile" button to automatically download Skype to your phone. Visit Skype.com on your computer, enter your cell-phone number, and press the "Get Skype mobile" button to have a link sent to your cell phone.

2. Open the iTunes application on your computer. Click on the "iTunes Store" button, then click on the "App Store" button. In the search bar type "Skype" and press the "Enter" button. After the Skype application page loads press "Download."
