Nokia offers a variety of slide phones, including the Nokia 6790, Nokia 6700 slide, Nokia N900 and Nokia X3. Whether sending email, storing pictures or listening to music, Nokia offers a phone to suit a multitude of needs. Depending on the Nokia slide phone, not all features are available on every slide device.
Messaging
Messaging on one of the Nokia slide phone allows users to create an email account or receive an Ovi Mail account free. The phone offers access to private email accounts from the phone, such as yahoo, Hotmail and Gmail. Users can connect the phone to existing email accounts, which will then be accessible via the phone.
Music
Some Nokia slide phones give the ability to transfer music from a personal computer with the Nokia Music Manager. Users can listen to the built-in FM radio or personal music files throughout the day.
Ovi Store
Some Nokia slide phones allow access to the Ovi Store. The Ovi Store contains a variety of games, applications, videos and ringtones to add to a phone. In some instances, some service providers may charge for downloading the files.
Photos and Video
Some Nokia slide phones come equipped with a camera,which includes a zoom option and LED flash. The phone has the capability to edit pictures and places them instantly on various photo-sharing websites, such as Picasa and Flickr.
Home Screen
Users can customize the Home Screen to display pictures and some contacts. Users can review email, click a contact's picture to call or review the phone's calling history. Some social websites the home screen can display include Facebook, Twitter and MySpace.
