Download Ringtones From The Computer To A Cellphone

Download ringtones from the computer to a cellphone with a USB cord.

All cellphones come with some ringtones pre-installed, but those ringtones are usually simple, generic-sounding beeps, rings and tunes that you might not like. The most popular ringtones are music ringtones, which allow you to hear your favorite songs play whenever you receive an incoming call. If you want to personalize your cellphone's ringtone, you can download ringtones from a computer to a cellphone.

Instructions

1. Connect the smaller end of the USB cord to the USB plugin on the cell phone. Connect the larger end of the USB cord to your computer's USB port.

2. Click the "Start" button. Click "My Computer." Your cell phone is listed as a removable storage drive. Double-click on the drive to open it. Minimize the window.

3. Locate the ringtone on your computer's hard drive that you want to download to the cell phone. Your ringtone might be a "Ringtones" folder that you created or your "My Music" folder, depending upon where you put it.

4. Click on the minimized window located on the taskbar to pull it up again. Drag and drop the ringtone to the "My Sounds" folder of the cell phone. The ringtone is now on your cell phone.
