Memory card.
The Nokia 5800 is a quality, touchscreen cell phone that allows you to take music and video wherever you go. While most Nokia 5800s come with a pre-formatted memory card, there may come a time when you wish to use a second memory card, replace the first one or wipe it clean and start over. In any case, you will need to format, or reformat, the card. Some memory cards can be formatted on a computer, but Nokia recommends that you format the card directly on the phone itself.
Instructions
1. Insert the memory card into the Nokia 5800. When you are looking directly at your phone's screen, the memory card slot is on the left side of the phone's casing. When inserting the memory card, the metal contacts should be facing up, toward you. Insert the card into the slot until you feel it click into place.
2. Turn your phone on and touch "Menu" and then "Applications."
3. Touch "File Manager" and choose "Options."
4. Select "Memory Card Options." When the memory card options appear, choose "Format a Memory Card."
5. Confirm that you wish to format the memory card, and the process will complete within seconds.
