Get Phone Numbers Blocked

You can block unwanted or unsolicited calls using Call Block.

Call Block provides you with the ability to stop unwanted or harassing phone calls. This service is available to landline, VoIP and mobile-service subscribers. Call Block uses a list of one or more phone numbers that you create, and it may be accessed for a fee, which varies from provider to provider. After Call Block is set up, a blocked caller will hear a prerecorded message that states that you are not accepting calls.

Instructions

1. Dial "*60" from your landline telephone and enter the ten-digit phone number(s) you would like to block. The number of numbers that can be added to the list varies from provider to provider.

2. Contact your mobile-service or landline provider and request that a number be blocked. Your provider may have a limit of one or two phone numbers that can be blocked through customer service. This service may cost an additional monthly fee, depending on your provider.

3. Navigate to the AT&T website (see "Resources" below) and log into your online account. From your account landing page, click "Account overview" and then "Manage Smart Limits for Wireless." Click "Block Numbers" and enter the phone number(s) you would like to block. (You must enter all ten digits of each number you would like to block.) After you have completed your list, click "Save" to submit your changes. AT&T allows subscribers to block up to 15 phone numbers.

4. Navigate to the Verizon Wireless website (see "Resources" below) and log into your online account. Click the "More" option from the "I Want To" section. Click "Set usage controls," "Profile" and then "Add usage controls," accept the terms of use and enter a phone number you would like to block. You can block up to 20 phone numbers with Verizon.

5. Navigate to the Sprint website (see "Resources" below) and log into your online account. From your account landing page click "My Preferences." In the "My Preferences" section under "Limits and Permissions," click "Block voice." Click "Block only the following numbers for inbound and outbound calls." Add the ten-digit number(s) you would like to block and click "Save." Sprint offers the ability to block up to 50 phone numbers.
