Unlock A Nokia Rm340 Model 2600c2

Unlock a Nokia RM-340 Model 2600C-2

The Nokia 2600C, otherwise known as the 2600 Classic, is a basic, dual-band Global Systems for Mobile Communications (GSM) cellular phone that operates at 900 and 1800 megahertz. The phone was originally released in March 2008 and features a color display, Bluetooth, messaging, an FM radio tuner and a speakerphone. RM-340 is the firmware used by the Nokia 2600C. If you would like to use your Nokia 2600C with another cellular service provider's Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card, you need to unlock your cellular phone.

Instructions

1. Call your current cellular service provider and request the unlock code for your Nokia 2600C. If you have an active account in good standing, cell phone carriers in the United States will generally give you the unlock code free of charge. If, however, you are unable to get the unlock code from your current cellular service provider, you can also purchase the unlock code from a company that sells cellular unlock codes. Write down the unlock code.

2. Remove the SIM card from your Nokia 2600C. Slide the back cover off the phone and take the battery out of the phone. Under the battery compartment, you will find the SIM card from your existing cellular service provider. Remove the SIM card. Replace the battery and back cover. Power on the phone.

3. Type "#pw+CODE+1#" using the keypad on your Nokia 2600C. Replace "CODE" in the sequence with the unlock code you wrote down in Step 1. Your Nokia 2600c is now unlocked and you can use your phone with a new cellular service provider's SIM card.
