Pair A Samsung Cell Phone With Bluetooth

Using a Bluetooth headset with your Samsung requires pairing.

If your Samsung mobile phone is Bluetooth enabled, using it with a Bluetooth headset gives you the ability to talk hands-free. Before you can start using the two devices together, you'll need to charge them both fully. You'll then need to pair the headset and phone, making sure that they are within a few feet of one another so they can connect wirelessly. Your Samsung will store the settings you enter--meaning you will only need to do the process once. Begin with your Bluetooth headset powered off.

Instructions

1. Press and hold the "Multifunction" or "Answer/End" button on your headset for a few seconds to put it in pairing mode. The headset's indicator light will generally begin flashing or stay steadily lit (depending on the model) to show that it is ready.

2. Scroll to and select "Settings" or "Applications" on your Samsung phone. Choose "Bluetooth," then select "Search For New Devices." Wait as your Samsung locates the headset--this may take a few seconds.

3. Select the name of your headset from the list that appears. Enter in the headset's passkey when prompted--this is usually "0000." Press "OK." Pairing is complete.
