Connect My Headset To My Ps3

It may not provide the optimal sound quality, but if you have it, you might as well use it.

One of the more useful features of Sony's PlayStation 3 is its ability to connect to any Bluetooth headset as an alternative to the more common headphones-and-microphone setup. Before you can connect your headset, you need to activate the PS3's Bluetooth ability and register your headset to the PS3 itself.

Instructions

1. Turn on your PS3 and scroll left to the "Settings" menu. Scroll down to "Accessory Settings" and press the "X" button.

2. Select the "Manage Bluetooth Devices" option and press "X."

3. Press "X" when you are prompted to register your Bluetooth device.

4. Press and hold the "Power" button on your headset until the light either lights up and stays one solid color, or alternates back and forth between colors. This indicates that it is ready to be registered by your PS3. Some headsets require you to hold the two volume buttons down to access this mode.

5. Select "Start Scanning" on your PS3. Your PS3 will locate and add your headset to its list of Bluetooth devices.

6. Select your headset on the PS3's screen and press "X." You will now be prompted to type in your headset's registry password. The default password for Bluetooth devices is typically either "1234" or "0000."

7. Enter your password and press the "Start" button. Select "OK" and press "X."

8. Press the "O" button to return to the Settings menu. Scroll down to "Audio Settings" and press "X."

9. Select "Input Device" and press "X." Scroll down and select your Bluetooth headset and press "X" again. This will set your Bluetooth headset as both the input and output audio device.
